Time Lapse Photography

Have a project in need of photos, video, or Time Lapse?

Video Services

Nothing is more effective at conveying the full scope of a project than seeing the entire months-long process happen in a two or three minute video. We build and manage our own custom camera rigs and use them to get the best footage of your project from day one. Once completed, time-lapse photos are processed into a video. People find this useful for many different reasons, such as being able to check in on the project, monitor progress, or keep stakeholders in the know. Videos can include music, audio, text and motion graphics, and all done in a brand consistent package that we create to match your marketing needs before we get started. Capturing time-lapse is an exceptional way to make your project stand out. Look at our YouTube channel for more construction photography, time lapse and video content.

Drone Photography

Drones provide a versatile way to capture unique and complete views of project sites. We been providing aerial photos and video since 2008.  Embedded GPS coordinates allow for incredible precision to shoot from the same location repeatedly, or to overlay images onto a map. Flying indoors is now possible in large warehouses, office or retail complexes. Drone footage is fully stabilized without the “fish eye” lens look, in resolutions up to 6k for video! Cascade Camera Works is a full service production company and can create any marketing content you might need. Furthermore, we only deliver high quality content, utilizing the highest quality professional camera systems, with the highest attention to detail.

Construction Documentation and Marketing

HOW MUCH DOES A TIME LAPSE COST?

A: Every situation is different and it’s very difficult to apply a general cost or rule to all cases. This is like saying “how much does a car cost?” It varies. Cost depends on your requirements, the duration, your timeline, and how much equipment we need to shoot your time lapse correctly. We have a set fee for installing the camera, and then a weekly fee for how long it will run. We do our absolute best to work within your budget, efficiently, to get you results you can be proud to show off for years to come. Have any questions or want a quote for your specific project? Feel free to contact us!

WE DON’T HAVE POWER AVAILABLE ONSITE, DO YOU USE BATTERIES?

A: Nearly every time lapse we install is outdoors, so we build every housing to use solar charged battery packs. We don’t need external power supplies, and can run for months and months on the power the sun provides every day, rain or shine.

THERE ISN'T A LOCATION TO MOUNT THE CAMERA, CAN YOU MAKE ONE?

A: Absolutely. We can affix the time lapse camera to any existing structure, pole, railing. We also have up to 45ft tall guy-wired towers, and a variety of non-penetrating roof mounts.

CAN WE SEE THE PHOTOS EVERY DAY?

A: If you spec out a requirement to have photos available daily or weekly, we have several options for having the photos uploaded directly to a website or Dropbox folder. We can also simply have the camera record to a memory card or onboard hard drive.

WILL THE CAMERA BE OKAY OUT IN THE RAIN?

A: Yes, all out time lapse housings are totally waterproof and do just fine in the heat or cold. Occasional rain on the lens port may be visible in individual photos, but does not affect the end results.

HOW LONG CAN A TIME LAPSE RUN FOR?

A: Anywhere from a few hours to many months or years. We use very reliable camera bodies, redundant power supplies, and 4x safety factors in calculating solar power needs. Quality housings keep the camera and electronics dry and clean for very long term reliability. Typically the only limiting factor is onboard memory storage, but even that can be avoided by uploading images to the web as they are acquired.
